Griffin's first and self-published book that became one of the most important British photo books of the late 20th century. Inspired by Renaissance religious painting and German expressionist cinema, the images articulate the emotions of power in a totally unique visual language with drawings signifying each photograph, made by Griffin's friend and collaborator, the designer Barney Bubbles.
